What you are looking at

The animal is the centre, but not an island. The people who bring them sit on the same record. Care notes for the stay are visible to the team, not locked in a drawer.

When someone phones about a collection, you should be able to reach the animal from the person, and the person from the animal, without asking who took the booking.

What to try

Find an animal from the person who phones. Confirm the stay. Add a note the next shift will actually see. That is the walk-through: the record travels.

• Open the animal from the person, not from a separate list
• Add a care note that belongs to this stay
• Confirm the next person on shift can see it without a handover chat
