Who it’s for

Daycare

Daycare is a rhythm of regulars. The job is to know, at the door and through the day, who is with you, who is still to arrive, who is going home with whom, and what changed since the last visit — without rebuilding that picture from a wall chart and a group chat.

A calendar of stays connected to a person and the animal they are bringing.

A typical day

  1. 01

    Opening the door

Who is expected, who has already arrived, and which notes are new since the last visit. The list is the same for everyone on the door.

  2. 02

    Through the day

Groups, rooms and the animals already with you. A change of collection time can be seen by the person who will actually be there at going-home time.

  3. 03

    Going home

Who is collected, by whom, and who is staying into a boarding night. The next daycare day already knows the regulars.

The work in this place

Daycare days are dense. The same animals come through the week, often with the same people, and the notes still change: a new medicine, a different collection time, a day they are not coming, a person who is not the usual collector. A wall chart can hold names. It cannot hold the conversation from Tuesday that affects Thursday’s collection.

Regulars are a gift and a trap. Because you know them, it is tempting to keep the exceptions in your head. That works until two people are answering the phone, until a new team member is on the door, or until a regular’s person is away and someone else arrives who the chart does not mention.

Attendance is the daycare record. Who was in, for which days, in which group or room, and who collected them. That is operational, and it is also the trail you need when a family asks what happened last week. Arhosfa treats a daycare day as a stay: shorter than boarding, still attached to the animal and the people.

Mixes of boarding and daycare are common. The dog who stays Monday night is in the daycare group on Tuesday. If those are two systems, the notes do not travel. Arhosfa keeps them on one animal, in one workspace, so the daycare team is not blind to the boarding notes and the boarding team is not blind to the daycare day.

Mornings are won or lost on arrivals. A late drop-off, a dog who is not coming, a person at the door who needs a signature. When the day is visible before the first arrival, the door is not also the reception desk, the diary and the inbox. Conversations about the day stay with the people they concern.

Team cover matters as much as animal notes. Daycare ratios and rooms only work if you know who is in to run them. Time off in the same workspace as the day means a planned absence is not a surprise on a full Tuesday.

What goes wrong without a shared record

  • A wall chart of names with none of the exceptions: medicine, collection people, days off.
  • A group chat that holds the day’s changes, then scrolls away before the evening shift.
  • Regulars treated as if they never change, until a new collector arrives and nobody can say whether that is allowed.
  • Boarding notes and daycare notes in different books for the same animal.
  • Cover for a full daycare day decided on the morning someone is already off.

What Arhosfa holds for this work

  • Daycare days as stays, with who is in and who is due
  • The animal and the people who bring them, including who may collect
  • Notes that survive from Tuesday to Thursday
  • Shared conversations instead of a private inbox at the door
  • The team’s time beside the daycare list
  • The rooms and places you run, if you have more than one

Why this is the right shape

  1. 1

Regulars still need a record — especially when something small has changed.

  2. 2

The door, the phone and the daycare floor should be looking at the same day.

  3. 3

Boarding and daycare for the same animal should not be two products.

  4. 4

Going-home time is safer when collection people sit with the stay.

The work

  • The stay

Arrivals, the day itself, and collections — visible before the first one is at the door.

  • The animals

Each animal sits with the people who bring them, and the notes the team needs for the stay.

  • The team’s time

Time off sits with the rest of the work, so cover is visible early.

Questions for this kind of place

Can Arhosfa show who is in daycare today, not just overnight boarders?
Yes. A daycare day is a stay. You can see who is arriving, who is already with you, and who is going home, in the same workspace as overnight boarding if you run both.
How does Arhosfa help with regulars who come several days a week?
The animal and the people stay on one record. Notes from earlier in the week are there for the next visit, so a new medicine or a different collector is not trapped in Tuesday’s chat.
Is this a parent-style check-in app for families?
No. Arhosfa is for the team running the day. Families still drop off and collect in person, and they still message you. Those messages can live with the stay instead of in one person’s phone.
What if we only run daycare, with no kennels?
That is enough. You do not need overnight boarding to use Arhosfa. Place is the package most daycare sites start with; Home suits a very small room. See pricing for the current limits.
